The CIBSE event is a reference in the field of Software Engineering, with the participation of a vibrant Latin American community that is dedicated to research in an area vital to the global economy. The congress is an evolution of the successful IDEAS (Iberoamerican Workshop on Environments and Software Requirements Engineering) which began in 1988.

Conceived as a space dedicated to the dissemination of research results and activities of the Ibero-American community, encourages dialogue between scientists, educators, professionals and students of Software Engineering.

The CIBSE is backed by 13 previous conferences held in various countries: Brazil-Torres (IDEAS'98), San Jose, Costa Rica (IDEAS'99), Cancun, Mexico (IDEAS'00), Heredia, Costa Rica (IDEAS'01 ), Havana, Cuba (IDEAS'02), Asunción, Paraguay (IDEAS'03), Arequipa, Peru (IDEAS'04), Valparaiso, Chile (IDEAS'05), La Plata, Argentina (IDEAS'06) Isla Margarita, Venezuela (IDEAS'07), Pernambuco, Brazil (IDEAS? 08), Medellín, Colombia (IDEAS? 2009) and Cuenca, Ecuador (CiBSE2010).

The 2011 CIBSE will be held on the campus of PUC-Rio, Brazil. The event will include the presentation of research papers, tutorials, doctoral symposium, professional experiences and invited lectures by renowned experts.

Plan to help or check on its agenda the CIBSE 2011. From 27 to April 29, 2011 we will have a unique pair discuss ideas, challenges and share experiences from practice. The CIBSE accepts contributions in three major Latin American languages: English, Spanish and Portuguese.
